For Families
We’re excited your daughter has chosen Alpha Phi as a part of her collegiate experience. As a new member of our organization, your daughter will have the opportunity to grow, make new friends and excel as a scholar, leader and woman. She will be immersed in the rich history of Alpha Phi, an innovative organization founded on the principles of sisterhood, scholarship, service, leadership, loyalty, and character development. Following initiation, your daughter will join a network of more than 268,000 women invested in cultivating a life of integrity.
Alpha Phi members hold themselves and their sisters to high academic standards. Your daughter must be enrolled as a full-time student and maintain a certain grade point average to remain a member in good standing. Each chapter has a Director of Scholarship dedicated to academic programming, ensuring individual members are supported in their educational endeavors.
Alpha Phi members proudly live up to and represent the Fraternity’s High Ideals: character, generosity, sisterhood, and innovation. In Alpha Phi, your daughter joins a network of bold, driven women who respect and support one another for a lifetime. An Alpha Phi woman sets high expectations for herself and her sisters, and learns to lead by example—whether she’s making a difference in the community, on campus, or in the classroom.
Alpha Phi is invested in our members’ personal growth, education, health and overall well-being, which is why we offer robust programming opportunities in the areas of leadership, philanthropy, scholarship and professional development. Together, with the generous support of Alpha Phi Foundation, Alpha Phi is able to offer her members access to top-notch programs led by subject matter experts: impactful leadership conferences; philanthropic projects making a tangible difference in the community; and networking opportunities with Alpha Phi’s diverse alumnae base.
Alpha Phi members have plenty of opportunities to take on leadership roles. Your daughter may choose to serve her chapter as an officer and member of the executive council. She may attend a weekend conference or week-long convention with sisters from across the U.S. and Canada. She might be selected for prestigious leadership development training. Or maybe she’ll volunteer on one of Alpha Phi’s many international committees, working closely with Executive Office staff and other high-level volunteers.
Alpha Phi values continue to impact the lives of our members long after graduation. Following her time in college, your daughter may choose to join one of our 131 alumnae communities across the world, stay involved with her collegiate chapter as a volunteer, participate in community service projects with other alumnae or serve as a professional mentor to collegiate women. Alpha Phi membership is for a lifetime.
